The state government has undertaken various Schemes to make it a beautiful way to know all the funerals after the death of a person. Firstly, the state government of West Bengal is giving a one-time grant of Rs 2,000 for the funeral of a loved one.

The Scheme of providing a one-time grant for the funeral of the deceased is known as Samabyathi. And the other is infrastructure development crematorium and cemeteries. In today’s program, we will learn about these two Schemes.

What is a Samabyathi Scheme?

Let’s not know about one of the Schemes Samabyathi run by the West Bengal state government. In fact, it is a Scheme under which the state government is giving cash assistance to the relatives or loved ones of the deceased.

In fact, after the death of a person in West Bengal, financial assistance is given for his funeral, under this scheme. This Scheme has been launched in 2016. In fact, the Scheme is named Samabyathi ( sympathy) because the state government is by the side of a person when he loses a loved one in a very difficult time.

Purpose of the Samabyathi Scheme?

The state government is providing one-time financial assistance to the loved ones of the deceased under the Samabyathi scheme. With this money, the disabled family will be able to bury their loved ones.

In fact, after death, a person has the right to be buried according to the proper rules, i.e. religious rules. And after the death of a person, his funeral is a part of socialization. But unfortunately, when a friend or a helpless family member dies, the shadow of the economic concern is coming with the sorrow.

The state government has taken this initiative so that no helpless family in West Bengal can bury their close relatives due to financial constraints. On the other hand, the purpose of this Scheme is to pay homage to the deceased and to aim at his proper funeral.

Benefits of the Samabyathi Scheme?

1. The state government has stood by the distressed and helpless families of the state through the Samabyathi Scheme.

2. Through the Samabyathi Scheme, the state government is providing one-time financial assistance to the distressed and helpless families for the government of their loved ones. The amount of financial assistance is Rs. 2,000.

3. Relatives or loved ones of the deceased will receive financial assistance provided for the purpose of the deceased’s government. However, if the loved ones are not close relatives, the never off person can apply for the Scheme for him.

Would anyone be eligible for the Scheme?

The Samabyathi Scheme is a one-time grant provided by the State Government for the purpose of burying a person even after death.

However, in order to avail of the benefits of this Scheme, the deceased has to be a local resident of West Bengal during his lifetime. In addition, in order to apply for this Scheme, the relatives of the deceased who will do good deeds for him must be financially distressed and helpless.

Another point to note here is that financial assistance will be available only when the deceased is buried in West Bengal.

Documents required to apply for the Scheme

No such documents are required to apply for the Samabyathi scheme. However, in order to receive financial assistance, the deceased has to prove that he was a permanent resident of West Bengal.

In other words, in order to apply for this Scheme, the identity card of the deceased has to be submitted to the specified office. This work can be done by the relatives or loved ones of the deceased.

How to apply Samabyathi Scheme?

Under the Samabyathi Scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance for the funeral of a person who dies in West Bengal.

If the deceased is a local resident of West Bengal, financial assistance can be obtained by contacting the local government office. In this case, if you live in a panchayat area, you can apply to the panchayat. However, if you live in a municipal area, you must apply to the municipality.
