About 9.5 lakh students will be provided free tablets through this scheme. Computers will be provided to 36000 government schools and government-aided schools. Students of 14000 high schools and 600 madrasas will get tablets and mobiles.

To apply for the free tablet scheme 2023 in West Bengal, one must follow the eligibility criteria. The applicant has to study in West Bengal Higher Secondary Government School / Government Aid School / Madrasa. The student must study in the 12th class. Applicants must have a family income of less than 2,00,000 per year.

Step-2: Click on the option “Apply Online for Tablet” button.

Step-4: Enter the required details (Student Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Caste & Other information and upload the documents).

Not only has the West Bengal government launched the Free Tablet Scheme 2023 in West Bengal for the benefit of students but many projects have been planned or implemented to provide special benefits to the ordinary citizens living in West Bengal. Here are some of them.
The West Bengal government plans to release a series of expansion plans for some of the top IT companies in the state. The government has made 20 proposals for setting up an office at the Bengal Silicon Valley Hub.
3000 crore will be invested in IT facilities for the residents of West Bengal. IT companies in West Bengal have grown by about 133% in 8 years. IT exports increased by 175%. About 9000 employees have been recruited in the IT sector.
At present, there are more than 1500 IT Companies offices. Among them are TATA Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and IBM. There are about 2.1 Lakh IT Professionals in the state. Airtel has come up with an offer of Rs 350 crore.
Wipro will invest Rs 500 crore to expand their business. TATA Consultancy is expected to increase employment to 44000-61000. Cognizant Technology Solutions is expected to expand further. Infosys has been given 50 acres of land to enhance its infrastructure.
